Thuraya Marine FDU/SCAN antenna for voice

For thousands of mariners spending days at sea, Thuraya may serve as the only link to the outside world. With Thuraya, seamen are able to communicate with their families anytime. The built-in GPS and Thuraya booster greatly enhances antennas performance in rough seas, harsh weather conditions and in the edge-of-footprint areas. In order to satisfy its wide array of customers, XSAT USA has developed several packages, in different price categories. This one outlines the FDU Maritime Package, which connects the Thuraya phone cradled in a Fixed Docking Unit (FDU) via a cable to an antenna with line-of-sight to the satellite. The FDU, the home/office docking product, allows the usage of the Thuraya phone in an indoor environment such as home, office or cabin. The Thuraya phone has to be simply docked into the designated slot of the FDU, and all the standard satellite-based services such as voice, fax and data and the supplementary services will be available indoors. Sending/ receiving SMS can be done more efficiently using the SMS software accompanied in FDU's package. Furthermore, FDU facilitates recharging of the satellite mobile phone when docked, while permitting normal conversation using the auxiliary handset. The unit comes with a Universal Power Supply, and satellite and GPS antennas with 25 meter cable.

This package includes an active maritime SCAN antenna with appropriate connectors. It has a built in active GPS antenna, with GPS adaptor cable and DC feeder included. Coaxial cables are not included.
